Breathe For Me

I breathe for you
and I'd die for you
Will you breathe for me too?
Will your chest rise and fall
only because of me?

Will the first face I see when I awake
be yours?
Or will it be an empty pillow
staring back at me?

When I hear a clatter in the night
Will I get out of bed
to see why you're still awake?
Or will I call the police to take the intruder away?

I breathe for you
and I'd die for you
But tell me before I do,
Will you breathe for me too?
Will your chest rise & fall
only because of me?
